E. Hardy Kern III (Hardy) is the Director of Government Relations, Birds and Pesticides Campaign. Hardy started with ABC in January of 2022 following nine years at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. Hardy has a Master of Public Administration degree from Kent State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Zoology from The Ohio State University. He lives in Columbus, Ohio where he frequently goes birding, kayaking, jogging, and hiking with his wife and two dogs (and occasionally his pet ball python).  Hardy loves being a voice for wildlife and isn't afraid to use puns in service of advocating for nature. Hardy is excited to help make a difference in pesticides policy and make the world a better place for people and birds.
